a girl
Let me tell you about a little girl. A little girl who knows more of bravery and strength at the age of two then I will at 72. Her giggle is contagious, her big brother is her idol, and her hugs touch your soul. I am blessed to call her mine.
While I have never doubted my God in His plan for her, for us, I have certainly questioned Him. One day I was questioning with hands folded and a heavy heart. This song played.
Beautiful girl, your days are more difficult then those of others' but do not forget that there will be a day in eternity where these years will have been just a moment. There will be a day where you will walk free of this, whether on this earth or at the feet of the Lord. That is the blessed assurance of our God. That is what this momma needed to hear.
Today you sat upon my lap while as we read of Jesus healing the Blind Beggar. You did not see me weep as I read to you: "This happened so that God's work could be shown in his life" John 9:3. Daughter, nearly 2 years into this journey and you have touched countless lives. You my dear, are fearfully and wonderfully made.

unplugged ...
from social networking that is. This blog being an exception. I got a few worried calls and texts and wanted to assure everyone that all is well in the Torres home. I simply feel the need to "unplug" and focus a bit more intently on the blessings the Lord has given me. However, I know that social networking is the only means for some of our long distance family and friends to stay current on Torres happenings so I will do my best to keep this updated.
Saturday marked Aiden's first T-ball practice. The Torres genes proved true and he got a hit on his first swing
However, A showed us that there must be SOME of mama's blood running through those veins after all as he went for a run around the bases ... backwards.
Bless his little heart. The boy couldn't be bothered with congratulations, he simply wanted another turn at bat.
Most importantly, we would like to wish everyone a Happy Resurrection Day!
*the littlest Torres couldn't quite hold out through the festivities and was enjoying a lovely Easter snooze.*
The Bigs didn't mind helping compensate for his absence in the egg hunt.
When asked which of their Easter treats they loved the most Aiden claimed his chocolate cross, CJ her "pwetty pink Bible", and Joey favored the chocolate covered peeps ...
